Real Madrid will complete their £20million move for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as soon as the transfer window reopens, according to reports in Spain.
However the highly-rated stopper will be the only arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu next month, despite the club's struggles this season.
Spanish daily AS led with the news on Thursday, reporting that Real have decided to cough-up his £20m buy-out clause instead of getting him for free in 2018.
Real's embarrassing 3-0 pre-Christmas defeat by arch rivals Barcelona saw them fall 14 points behind the La Liga leaders in the race for the title.
That loss, coupled with a string of recent underwhelming displays, highlighted the need for fresh faces but it is understood only Kepa will arrive in January
